If Your Roof Was Just Damaged

• Stay off the roof. A storm-damaged roof is not safe to walk on, especially wet. We'll get up there.
• Deal with the water first. Move what you can, put a bucket under active drips, and poke a small hole in any bulging ceiling bubble to drain it before it spreads.
• Take photos inside. Stains, drips, wet insulation. Timestamped photos are the best record you'll have.
• Call or text us. Tell us if water is actively coming in. That changes the order we do things.

Emergency Tarping

If water is getting in, tarping is the first thing we do. A tarp stops the water before it gets into your insulation, drywall, and floors. It also gives us time to do the repair properly. We handle the tarping. You keep everyone off the roof until it's done.

Inspection and Photos

Storm damage isn't always obvious from the ground. Hail bruises can look like nothing from the driveway and still shorten the life of the roof. So we inspect all of it: shingles, flashing, vents, gutters. We take photos of what we find and write down what we saw.

That report is yours, and you'll know exactly what the storm did. Whether to file an insurance claim is your decision, and the claim itself is between you and your insurer. We don't file claims or negotiate on your behalf, and we can't promise what a claim will pay. What we do is simple: inspect, photograph, and fix the roof.

What Hail and Wind Damage Looks Like

• Hail: dark bruises or dents in shingles, granules stripped away and collecting in gutters, dented vents, gutters, or flashing.
• Wind: lifted or creased shingles, missing tabs or whole shingles, flashing peeled back at edges and penetrations.
• Debris: punctures or gouges from limbs, sometimes small enough that you don't know they're there until the next hard rain.

The Repairs

Once the roof is protected and we know what we're dealing with, we fix it. That might mean replacing shingles on one slope, redoing flashing, or, if the damage is widespread, a full replacement. Either way, the work is done with CertainTeed shingles and carries our workmanship warranty.
